What's Your Poison?

Dear Readers,

This is the start of a new blog made just for all you Second Life™ people who enjoy a little bit of dirt mixed with a whole lot of truth, or as what we like to call here at Manic Liquor, poison!!! This blog will be used to target Second Life™ creators.
We have three categories: The top shelf, which is for the creators who have awesome designs or great personalities or just in Second Life™ to have fun creating things, or all of the above. Next category is the middle shelf, which is for up and coming creators that have plenty of potential to get to the top shelf. The Last category, and possibly the most important one, is the bottom of the barrel, where we will show everyone the truth about the creators with bad attitudes, copiers, money hungry bullies who pick on other peoples creations and don't do anything for their customers or for other creators. This list may at times also include but is not limited to: groups, organizations, clubs, charity groups, and fashion/modeling agency's.

Manic Liquor will give you nothing but the truth whether its good or bad, so pick your poison.
Contact us in world if you have a creator that you would like us to write about. Send a notecard to either Absinthe Blindside or Vodka Slingshot.

Love

Reporting/Gorean Reports

Voddy's thoughts:

We give credit where credit is due.  We found it obvious and so did the real creator, WITH PROOF THROUGH IM HISTORY that the creator written about was un-original and it shows in the photos, we don't need to say more, but now as it turns out, Ab and I got an IM from this person (not naming, i have a feeling that's what she wants) saying our post about the AO maker was wrong because we did not credit the Animation maker.  AO Makers can be third parties, fact is, this person put together their AO's, if they made the animations or not, properly. Therefore, your attempt to poke both of us is worthless and we both know you either wanted to make it on here or just wrote for someone else.  She is a Gorean 'creator.'

With that said, I do believe there is a tiny tiny tiny group of gossipers in "Gor" that have alts and point at each other to try to take down each others business'.  Soon after the "award" was given, we received an IM from an alt of another Gorean creator trying to get us to bust on another shop...which we went to check out for the so-called copy-botted material, and found that this store was completely original.  This source said "I want to see **** wiped off the grid."  Maybe you all should take a look at each other and wonder.

The Gorean creators seem to be corrupting each other.  We did one report on a "Gorean" because we ran into an exact copy (not copybot!) of a non-Gorean store, then looked into the creations and found the same! Other than that, and I know Ab feels the same way, we could care less about this tiny group that is caving each other in with alts, we could care less about whatever you do in your world or planet or whatever you think you're playing in.  I am sure there are some out there that strive to stay original and out of the gossip circle, for them, way to go, for the group, I can't say I feel sorry for you, because it's your decision.
We're here to write what we think and feel about fashion. We found someone that copied other people's ideas, we wrote about it, that's what we do. We found creations that were poorly made, high priced, and told to be "top of the line" (from the owners mouth), we wrote about that.  We found someone who took the death of a real creator to his advantage, slapped his name on the clothing and said it was his, jacked up the price, and is selling...we wrote about him.  That's what we're here to warn people about and show people.  If you can't handle it, don't read it, and don't comment, also, don't send IM's, just keep your mouth closed and move along.  It says in my profile, rude comments will be muted.  I have only received one IM, but knowing that she had already talked to Ab, and after seeing the convo, I muted her. Apparently everyone else gets the concept.

We have a disclaimer, read it before posting.

Vodka's thoughts:

Junwave has been one of my top hair go-to's since I discovered it about a year or so ago. The hair textures look like a set I saw on XStreet, but they were used so well and beautifully that it really doesn't matter, though I am not sure this is actually the case. That aside, each creation is very well put together.  Usually I like to be able to modify bangs, I'm really picky about where they lay, but these styles are no mod, which is OK, because it has the re-size script inside, so you can make changes with the click of a button. Each color is only 80L!  Great style at a fab price!!

I bought 2 styles from Junwave and brought home some demos because I couldn't decide.  I'm sure i'll be back and definitely keep on top of  new releases as they come out!
Double shot! What do you think Abs?  (below are my photos)

Absinthe's thoughts:

I now have 4 styles from this hair creator. I really like her stuff, its so different. they have a bit of a cartoon feel to them but at the same time they look like you could make the hair styles in real life, (well some of them with lots of bobby pins and hair spray) and the way the prims are shaped and the way they frame around the face are really beautiful. I think this may have to do with the fact that she isn't afraid to make both sides of her hair the exact same so it looks more realistic. who's hair in real life looks the same on one side as it does on the other? besides models. Not mine.
As Voddy stated above, the price is awesome. Most creators make the hair more expensive but with 3-4 different colours, but I really only ever buy hair packs for one specific colour. I would rather buy 1 hair for 80L then 4 hair for 300L.
I also like how the hair has  a resize script in it, this will make hair fitting so much easier for people don't have experience with stretching and shrinking hair.
I'll take a shot with you Voddy!
